Meet Seth Jacobson

Born and raised in Maryland, Seth grew up in the small town of Chesapeake Beach in Calvert County on the west coast of the beautiful Chesapeake Bay. He was around a lot of boating and water adventures as a kid as his parents owned a sailboat, various motorboats, and jet skis. He felt comfortable on the water and was always drawn to it. His grandfather was also a “Captain of the Seas”, so boating was in his blood!

At 20 years old, Seth made his first venture away from his hometown and moved to Ocean City, MD to work there for a couple of summers. Wanting to “go-big or go home” he decided to go big, and at the age of 22, he looked at a Florida map, flippantly picked the city of Ft Lauderdale, bought a one-way plane ticket, and with just 2 suitcases and $2,000 cash in his pocket, he left for the Sunshine State. Knowing no one there, he took a taxi to a local hotel, then found a shared room where he rented a bed and bought an old rusty bicycle to get around the area with. He quickly found a bartending job on the beach where he worked hard, saved money, and within one month he was able to get his own place.

Just a short year later, Seth was introduced to the yachting world. He was very fascinated with and motivated by the possibilities of this potential career change! He began walking the docks early each morning asking for odd jobs from washing boats to polishing stainless, and each job he took gave him more determination and helped advance him to his first deckhand job, then advancing to first mate. With continued time, experience, and education, Seth promoted to Captain in just 5 years.

Seth is exceptionally motivated and continues to educate himself to never stop learning new things, new trades, and ways to make multiple sources of income and career path potentials, making for an impressive resume and a vast portfolio of experiences.
